Q: How many cruise ships will be visiting Astoria this year?

Q: What are the vaccination rates for crew and passengers on these vessels?
A: The cruise ships visiting Astoria meet the CDC Vaccination Standard of Excellence: ships with at least 95% passengers and 95% crew who are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines.

Q: Will crew members be permitted to disembark?
A: 是的. However, each cruise line may have specific restrictions for crew shore leave.

Q: How many passengers will be on board these ships?
A:  The cruise ship schedule on the Port website will show the maximum capacity of passengers for each vessel. However, most cruise ships are not currently running at full capacity for the 2022 year.

Q: What will passengers do when visiting Astoria?
A: 传统上, most passengers participate in excursions that are sold by the cruise line prior to their arrival at Astoria. Some passengers will utilize the shuttle service to downtown Astoria to shop and enjoy the local festivities in town.

A: The 阿斯托里亚港 is a transit port. So, all cruise-related operations at Pier 1 are done outside.

Q: What is the monitoring process for ships that dock at the port and people coming on and off the ships?
A: The vessel will be docked at a secured pier. Port Security provides 24/7 surveillance when a vessel is berthed at Pier 1. 码头有一个围栏. Only authorized personnel and vendors will be permitted to enter the secured area.

Q: Is the Port doing anything particular/new due to the coronavirus?
A:  Cruise lines operating in US waters may choose to participate in the CDC COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships on a voluntary basis. The 阿斯托里亚港 will enter into an MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) with each cruise line and the local Public Health Department to ensure health and safety protections for the community and travelers (crew and passengers).
